About the event
On stage, alterity, the dancer, the central character of this Another Spring, visits the imaginary of Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring (1913) and the main narratives mobilized by some choreographers of this emblematic work. To dream, from her transvestite body, a drift. To miss those original and authentic bodies, which appear as male and female, or the mythical figure of a virgin linked to sacrifice and/or coitus functional to reproduction. It is more an unashamed gesture to enter the sexed space of knowledge, relocate eros, desire and the transvestite body, and challenge dominant representations. Questioning those mandates that organize the world and decide which bodies matter, which should be sacrificed, and which deserve a future. Here there is no body offered as a scapegoat nor a single death, but multiple constant transformations.
