About the event
The renowned educator and activist Marina Marroquí (born in Elx, 1988) presents her educational monologue "Eso no es amor" (That's Not Love) at the Teatre Principal de Maó, aimed at schools. Inspired by her book of the same name, the show uses reflection and humor to foster critical thinking in young people. It addresses the influence of media (television, music, cinema) on the perception of romantic love and the internalization of messages that lead to toxic views. Marroquí shares her personal experience with sexist violence, offering tools to identify, detect early, and overcome it, focusing on prevention, education, and awareness. She has been recognized for her work in combating gender-based violence, receiving distinctions such as the Ana Tutor Award and the Menina Award Against Gender Violence. Organized by the Department of Social Welfare of the Consell Insular de Menorca in collaboration with the Fundació Teatre Principal de Maó.
