About the event
The Teatre des Born presents 'Otra primavera', an innovative production by the Chilean company Cia. La Merce. This play offers a renewed and provocative vision of the 20th-century dance classic, Igor Stravinsky's 'The Rite of Spring'. The piece challenges the concept of sacrifice inherent in spring, questioning who decides which bodies have the right to live and desire, and exploring the struggle for life through the travesti body of La Merce Matus. As part of the IV Ibero-American Independent Theatre Festival of Menorca (FITIM 2026), 'Otra primavera' delves into death, rebirth, and the possibility of imagining other forms of existence. Prepare for a physical and bold experience that fosters diversity and critical thinking, inviting deep reflection on identity and existence. Date: October 18, 2026, Time: 7:30 PM, Recommended audience: 14 years and up, Price: €10-19, Venue: Teatre des Born.
