About the event
Fira Arrels is the fair for local produce and cuisine from Menorca, organized by the Consell Insular de Menorca. Born as an annual event on the Menorcan calendar, it brings together island producers outdoors: cheeses, traditional cured meats, wines, liqueurs, oils, honey, seasonal vegetables, and other local specialties, with tastings and direct sales. Throughout its editions, it has featured prestigious chefs and has established itself as a showcase for the Menorcan agri-food and gastronomic sector.
Fira Arrels celebrates its eighth edition with 42 exhibitors and free admission.
The ninth edition takes place on September 19th and 20th at the Es Mercadal Fairgrounds, with free entry. The program includes nine live cooking sessions with chefs and producers, live music, the awarding of the Foodies Prizes, and a children's area with free games and workshops. Saturday opening hours are from 10 am to 9 pm, and Sunday from 10:30 am to 2 pm. This year's star product is the caper.
