About the event
The zarzuela returns to the Teatre Principal de Maó with "La tabernera del puerto", an emblematic work by composer Pablo Sorozábal. Set in a port in northern Spain, it tells the story of La Marola, an enigmatic tavern keeper, and her love for Leandro, a young sailor. The plot combines lyricism, drama, and popular essence, portraying the maritime atmosphere and human emotions in a setting of secrets and hidden interests. The work culminates with the revelation of the truth about its protagonists.
