Conference/workshop on emotional education and sex education in childhood and adolescence.
Summary:
A training space for mothers and fathers to understand and support their children's emotional and sexual development from ages 8 to 16. It encourages reflection, experience sharing, and learning practical tools for conversation, emotional management, and setting boundaries with safety and respect. The aim is to foster open communication and a family environment that supports the holistic growth of children.
Target audience:
Parents of children and adolescents aged 8-16; caregivers and educators who support families may also participate.
Format and duration:
Interactive conference and workshop, with a brief presentation and participatory activities. A session of approximately 2 to 3 hours, adaptable to the family dynamics and the participating group. In-person or virtual format depending on the organization.
Objectives:
- Equip families with resources to support their children's emotional and sexual education.
- Provide guidance for age-appropriate conversations about emotional and sexual education, focusing on safety, respect, consent, and digital health.
- Strengthen skills in observation, active listening, and empathetic responses.
- Offer practical tools for establishing conversation routines, clear boundaries, and daily emotional support.
Main content:
- Emotional education in childhood and adolescence: emotional recognition and regulation, emotional language, strategies for managing anxiety, anger, and stress, fostering empathy, resilience, and trusting relationships.
- Sex education in childhood and adolescence: basic concepts of healthy sexuality, consent and boundaries, diversity and respect, puberty, age-appropriate information, online safety, communication of sensitive topics, and answers to frequently asked questions.
Methodology:
- Short, dynamic group presentations.
- Q&A sessions, reflection, and experience sharing.
- Participatory activities, role-playing, and simulations to practice real conversations and scenarios.

- Pair or small group work to encourage reflection and collaborative learning.
